Why do I need a BIOS?
The console's BIOS is required to run games, and it is not included in the app. Import a BIOS file dumped from your own console (USA, Europe or Japan) in the first setup step: the app checks it and stores it inside the app.
How do I add my games?
In the second setup step, choose the folder with your own game backups. The library shows them as a coverflow of box art; add more folders anytime and use refresh to rescan.
Which files are supported?
- .iso
- .chd
- .cso
- .zso
- .bin / .img
- .mdf
- .nrg
- .gz
- .elf
No BIOS or games are included. Use only files you legally own.
My controller isn't detected
Pair it over Bluetooth or plug it in over USB, then allow the Bluetooth permission if asked. Use the built-in controller tester to check every button and stick. Press Select and Start together to open the quick-actions panel.
How do I get better performance?
- Try the Vulkan renderer, or OpenGL if a game shows glitches.
- Lower the resolution scale or the blending accuracy.
- Set a game's own settings with a long press on it in the library.
- Close other apps and keep your phone cool and charged.
Where are my saves?
Save states and virtual memory cards are stored on your device. You can create, switch and assign memory cards per game from the app.
How do achievements work?
Sign in with your RetroAchievements account to track progress and unlock badges; hardcore mode applies the stricter rules. It's optional — see the privacy policy.
